My silly ramblings about this insane anime
(Spoiler Warning)
In an alternate Tokyo, the clock is ticking towards the time
when masses of oppressed demons lying dormant in the human population will
mutate into goulish remanents, open the gates of Hell after a long wait
of 30,000 years, and over-run the world.
The Guardians have staked out the Gate of Hell by building the
Gateway campus over it (and terrified the demons by setting loose a couple
of hundred high school students over it). Takumi is the only guardian who
can seal the gate and Hazumi, his "sister" is supposed to protect
him as his powers are much weaker in combat.
Anyway, Hazumi packs a hefty lot of punch for a lovecrazed teenager,
and she does not care to use it with much discretion or concern for life,
property or overkill factor....As long as she is after a baddie or when
someone does something as stupidly fatal as to piss her off....for instance
witness the last words of 3 students she was supposed to be saving:
"Oh My Gosh! It is Hazumi the Ally-Killer! We are doomed!...."
This is of course in accordance with one of the 1001 laws of
anime, where a character is permitted to perform impossibly devastating
attacks when pissed off.... And in her case she blows up a building at
that remark....Good guys, bad guys, and all....
(N.B : This is in general, the most often applied law in most
anime...)
There are 4 episodes in this OVA, all appropriately titled to
reflect the destruction they will play out.
